|| Meta objects are globules of matter which when placed close together will blend into a smooth blob.
The point of this is that you can easily create seamless, but very complex curved shapes - such as those found in nature. Objects modelled this method can look very organic, and distinctly un-computer generated.
Max doesn't have any meta-modelling tools. However, it does have meta-particles. Blobmod takes any object, and places meta-particles on each vertex. That way, simple shapes can be used to build very complex objects.
Objects tend to be a little difficult to control, but if you're looking for smooth shapes, this could be the way to go.
